8/27/24 Performed furnace maintenance on cupping 1, cupping 2, packaging, and WW processing room. Changed filters on security 1 and 2. 9/4/24 Performed furnace and AC maintenance on Security 1 and security 2. Performed AC maintenance on cupping 1, cupping 2, and packaging. Security 1 was 1 lb low on R-410A. Packaging needed a new condenser fan capacitor. All systems appear to be operating normally.

Replaced indoor coil, pressure tested system and pulled it into a vacuum at 500 µm, charged system and dialed in superheat. Temperature split is good and refrigerant pressures are acceptable. All checks good at this time, system is cooling efficiently.

C12 not cooling. C12 South had a bad contactor for Compressor 2. Replaced contactor. C12 North Compressor 1 was 1 lb low on R-410A and had a bad contactor. C12 North Compressor 2 was very low on puron and needed a new contactor as well. Added 4 lbs of R-410A. Recommend a leak search when system is cleaned in a few weeks. Maintenance provided contractors and puron. C17 West has an exhaust fan working intermittently. It was operating normally while inspected and all connections appear to be passable. Maintenance will monitor for changes in operation. Replaced humidifier board on C15A. System appears to be operating normally.

Completed an AC repair on a Carrier Infinity 16 system in Marion today. The unit was not cooling properly due to a faulty capacitor. Replaced the capacitor with an OEM part and inspected the condenser coils for any debris. After cleaning the coils and recharging the refrigerant, I tested the system to ensure it was cooling efficiently. The unit is now operating at peak performance.

In Marion, IL, I completed a detailed air conditioning repair and tune-up as part of a 2024 PCSA prepaid AC check-up. During the service, I thoroughly cleaned the condenser and evaporator coils, flushed the condensate drain lines, and inspected and replaced dirty filters. I also checked the system’s refrigerant levels, tested the thermostat for accurate calibration, and ensured all electrical connections were secure. After running a full system diagnostic, I confirmed that the air conditioning unit is operating efficiently and providing reliable cooling.

A critical component in my ac went out the day before my family was coming into town for a visit and Charlie’s saved the day! I noticed my ac wasn’t getting as cool as it should so I called Charlie’s and they came over to see what was the matter. It turns out a critical component was out. The tech called around but this component was hard to find for my older unit. He said they would have one ordered and rushed. Then I got a call the next day that they had searched their warehouse and found one! The good people at Charlie’s came over right over and had my ac running in no time. Great service and honest people that will bend over backwards to help you in your time of need. Plus, every tech that has ever come to my house has been incredibly nice and helpful and they have all loved visiting with my dogs!
