Cause of the issue was a failing blower motor. Ordered replacement motor and installed temporary motor until part arrives. Customer has parts warranty until 3/15/26. 1/12/26 Replaced blower motor and tested operation. Contactor on outdoor coil was very worn. Replaced under parts warranty. Everything else was clean and system appears to be operating normally.

Found leak in the lineset going into the outdoor coil. Repaired leak and checked system operation. Added a few lbs of R-410A to the system and discovered that the outdoor TXV had slammed shut. This is what caused the pressure to climb and the lineset to crack. Customer would like a price on replacing the outdoor TXV and drier.

Heating Inspection Heat pump pressures appear normal. Thermostat appears to be operating normally. All electrical components appear to be operating normally. Based on tests performed, it appears due to an unseasonably warm December, the heat pump maybe getting overwhelmed due to warm temperatures and tripping on high pressure causing the electric heat strips to take over. System appears to be operating normally at this time. Also made sure the program for the thermostat was turned off and set to hold.

Customer had concerns about system not keeping up, checked system operation and found unit low on gas, charged system with a pound of refrigerant and got better pressures, recommended scheduling a leak search to see if we can find where the leak is coming from System is operational

Customer had concerns about evaporator coil dripping and possible drain leak, tested drain line for leaks and found no issues, found evaporator coil partially frozen up, also found condenser coil packed with grass and dirt, cleaned condenser coil and checked system operation, found system low on gas, charged unit with 2 pounds of R22 and made sure system is working properly. Found drain line dripping due to open hole in wall bringing humidity/heat from inside the wall into the furnace closet and causing drain line to condensate and drip. Informed customer about this and recommended covering holes in the wall. Double checked for dripping after charging unit and did not see any more dripping from evaporator coil. System is operational
